Travis Mendes: FV Artist and Song Review

Thank you to everyone for plugging into FanView! We cannot wait to share with you this new song, but first (before we give it all away) we would like to give you a proper artist introduction.

The artist we proudly present to you today is Travis Mendes, 29 years old and a proud Brooklyn native. Travis is a big part of the ‘Beautiful Mind’ group which was formed by Jon Bellion (A modern singer/songwriter legend), He began his music career as a background vocalist for Bellion and joined the rest of the crew on Jon’s 3-legged tour titled, “The Human Condition” (THC) named after his most recent album. Jon being the great friend that he is even gave Travis a lot of solo opportunities to let the fans hear what his vocals are really about on and off stage with performances of his first single “Dead Presidents” ft. Jon B, which is a total banger as the kids call it these days. Accompanied by improvisational  falsettos that brought fans to their knees throughout the entire tour. What we love about Travis’s voice is how he can carry the note of an actual angel in heaven. His range is endless on each end and could probably break a window but would never actually because according to the crew, he is a gentle giant and they never fail to remind us. Luckily, FanView got to confirm this on two separate occasions when we met up with him! Once we ran into him walking outside of the venue heading to Buffalo Wild Wings to grab a bite after a show in Fresno. All we had to say was thank you and couldn’t stop congratulating him on his success thus far, along with a complete star struck feeling of walking past a literal cherub on the street. The second time he was running through the crowd unnoticed at a more recent show in San Francisco at The Armory where he agreed to getting a picture with us as long as we stayed lowkey so he could drop the signed set list to the merch table, like cmon Travis you really think we weren’t going to see you dude, We wouldn’t be caught dead letting this man get by without a quick thanks from the fans. Anyways, being a huge follower of Jon we know he knows talent when he sees it and we couldn’t be more proud of what direction Travis has been lead, in order to fulfill his dreams. The man blossomed into a full blown musician who has his own record label that he recently signed with called ‘PardonMyFresh’. On top of the songwriters organization he has been a part of for some time labeled, “Universal Music Publishing Group’ because not only can he like really sing he can also like really write song in theory like some kind of modern August Rush. With all this success we have yet to mention his EP out called ‘Closure’ featuring his other songs that also bop, “How Close” and “10 Years”(PLEASE CHECK THEM OUT!) Last but not least lets not forget the reason we have all joined here today. The newest addition to his repertoire, the song of the day, Do Over. This song has captivated FanView all day long and has been on repeat for a ridiculous amount of time now. We don’t think you will blame us, the rhythm gives off a very fresh 90’s RnB vibe we think a lot of old RnB artists would seriously appreciate and get down to. We think Travis hit the sound we have been craving for awhile now on the head. So, here for your ears is the graceful gentle giant that we love and can’t help but see as an angel without wings, singing his newest hit “Do Over” with 1,200 views on YouTube.

The charismatic Mendes on stage looking like he is in his natural habitat.

Where it all started, Jon clearly showing his boy the love on stage, gives us flashbacks to the concert days when he would point and look to Travis who would be already taking off with the best vocal runs to witness in a lifetime, and afterwards Jon would just laugh and look at him like, “man you are not a real human”. We honestly still need a DNA test to confirm or deny….

FanViewCorp decided to write this article a little differently and we hope you made it to the end here because then we know our strategy possibly worked. For example, we said at the beginning of this review we didn’t want to give it all away. We can compare this to first date etiquette, where we hope you agree that giving up all you got on the first night is frowned upon and not really attractive in anyway whatsoever. Well FanView is taking a similar, less skanky run down of these reviews. We want you to effortlessly read our posts, get excited once you’ve reached the reviewed song, and hope you genuinely want to find out more about the artists and songs we blab about because we think they really matter and can positively affect you and your life. We hope this is all making sense and are just about done rambling. Lastly, we wanted to get some viewers opinions on if this tactic is effective, or if you are someone who wants the legs open wide and quick to the point titles that contain the artists and song names in order for you to be more interested or drawn to our posts. After all, we do what we do for the fans. If you are happy, so are we!

Email is always open fanviewcorp@gmail.com, feel free to criticize or compliment we take both positively! Thank you all again from the bottom of this little music blogs heart.

Who We Are: A company that loves MUSIC and the people that make it! We create once-in-a-lifetime interviews for an artist and a fan who we think could create a magical, inspiring, and informative interaction for all to enjoy.
Ultimate Goal: Our music blog in light will bring genuine emotion and conversation for whoever is involved and whoever can enjoy. We value passion, professionalism, and people and with that in mind we stay focused on giving hope and happiness the best way we know how, with people and their music.
With understanding who we are and our ultimate goal we can explain WHY we exist
 Easy,
music is something we live, eat and breathe. If you have ever been a die-hard fan of anything then you know, There are some questions to be asked. "Where were you guys when you wrote blah and blah", "Who is the worst to have to sleep next to on the road" "Who would you like to collaborate with?!?!?", "Are you having fun yet?" lighthearted but IMPORTANT questions:) lowdowns of studio sessions, embarrassing childhood memories, and pranks during the interview are never frowned upon. We want to give a fan and an artist a reminder of why we all love music so much and reflect on how much it gives us in return like friends, happiness, dancing of course... and all the important things.
FanView is here to broadcast our appreciation to the artist, the music, and the fans.
